Colorado auto dealership has an immediate opening for a qualified controller at our multi-location new and used vehicle dealership using the Reynolds and Reynolds DMS system.
13-15 million dollars in combined yearly sales between the new, used, finance, service, and parts departments. 150 employees help make this multi-generational family-owned dealership successful.
As an experienced controller, the following duties will be familiar and not all encompassing:
Lead and manage accounting department personnel ensuring all department functions are timely and accurate to include payroll, booking, funding, titles, AP/AR, human resources, payoffs, benefits, insurance, filing and payment of taxes, depreciation, investment and company vehicle schedules, and cash flow.
Work with CPA’s, banks, and manufacturer representatives to ensure competitiveness and maintain long term relationships.
Prepare accurate financial statements and financial reports, including working with CPAs for an accurate month 13 statement. Review journal entries, balance sheets, reconcile accounts.
Maintain current internal controls while developing and implementing efficiencies, to ensure accuracy of financial data and fraud prevention.
Analyze dealership financial performance, working with department managers to review and reduce expenses.
Work with auditors and CPAs to remain compliant with financial regulations and tax reporting. Stay up to date and aware of changes to ensure dealership remains ahead of deadlines for reporting and enacting.
Complete month and year end financial statements, analyze financial trends, implement efficient accounting practices, monitor cash flow, manage and grow banking relationships, communicate with Owners and General Manager ensuring an accurate financial forecast is known.

Requirements
A minimum of 5 or more years as a controller, with verifiable successful experience.
